Richard Mansfield Frisbie, 78, of Menahga, died at St. Joseph Hospital in Park Rapids, Minnesota, on Sunday, August 26, 1984. He was born in Orton township, on November 9, 1905 to Frank S. and Ellen Payne Frisbie. In his early years he worked in Iowa and southern Minnesota, but returned to Orton township to farm and raise a family. He had also worked with his sons in the logging business in Minnesota and Montana. He had made Menahga his home for the last four years.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, of Menahga, children, Lloyd M. Frisbie, Larry Dean B. Frisbie and Zane Frisbie, all of White Sulpher Springs, Montana, Lois V.F. Shearer of Frannie, Wyoming, JoAnn Watson of Romance, Arkansas, Dixie K. Shore and Rex H. Frisbie of Foley, Frank N. Frisbie and Ione H. Lind of Sebeka, and 46 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Also one brother, Everett Frisbie of Austin, two sisters, Hilda Westra of Santa Rosa, California, Ruth Downer of Menahga, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Frisbie and one sister-in-law, Gladys Frisbie of Wadena.
The funeral service was held August 29, 1984 at 10:00 A.M. at the Cardini-Behrens Funeral Home in Menahga. Reverend Clyde Allebach officiated with Louise Foss, organist and soloist singing, "The Old Rugged Cross." Pallbearers included: Charles Lind, David Downer, Lyle Downer, Eldred Dexter, and Randy Riemann. Arrangements were by thr Cardini-Behrens Funeral Home in Menahga.
