FRANK FRISBIE, NIMROD BUSINESS MAN, DIED - Funeral Services Were Held In Sebeka Memorial Hall Monday
Franks S. Frisbie, well known Nimrod business man and one of Wadena county's leading boosters, died in the University hospital, Minneapolis, on Wednesday, January 19, where he had been in failing health for the past seven months and gradually failed until the end came.
Frank Selwin Frisbie was born at Eldora, Iowa, on April 16, 1877, and was 59 years, 9 months and 3 days of age at time of his death. He was a son Mr. and Mrs. F.S. Frisbie, who now live at Corwith, Iowa. Frank when a young man followed the carpenter trade and lived in South Dakota for eighteen months, and thirty-one years ago came to Orton township, where he lived on a farm for several years, following the carpenter trade during that time. Several years ago be bought the Nimrod Garage and with the assistance of his sons operated that business until his death. He is survived by his aged parents, three sisters and four brothers, all living in Iowa, and six children, namely: Kenneth, Richard, Everett, Mrs. Ruth Downer and Mrs. Hilda Westra, all of the Nimrod community. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren.
Deceased was one of Nimrod and the county's most ardent boosters. always ready to give his time and energy for any worthwhile public enterprise. He was loyal and generous to a fault and every person in this community who knew him was his friend. He took an interest in the collection of old coins and stamps and left a large collection. He was a member of the Baptist church of Eldora, Iowa, where he sang in the choir when a young man.
Funeral services were held at the Sebeka Memorial Hall on Monday afternoon, Rev. H.L. Sellon conducting the services. Burial was made in the Nimrod cemetery.

Funeral Services were held on Monday at Sebeka for Frank S. Frisbie, 61, former Nimrod resident who died Wednesday at Minneapolis after seven months of illness. Rev. H.L. Sellon officiated. Burial was in Nimrod Cemetery.
Mr. Frisbie had lived in the community of Nimrod for 31 years. He was a carpenter but for several years owned and operated the Nimrod garage. During his life he accumulated a large stamp and coin collection.
Surviving are his five children who live in the vicinity of Nimrod: Kenneth, Richard, Everett, Mrs. Ruth Downer, Mrs Hilda Westra, several grand children, four brothers and three sisters in Iowa.
He was born April 16, 1876 at Eldora, Iowa, and was a member of the Baptist church of that place.
