Hilda Heydt, 90, of Edina and formerly of Crookston, died Sunday evening at the Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina.

She was born April 22, 1894 in Crookston, the daughter of Peter and Karlene Siebel Heydt. She was baptized and confirmed in the German Lutheran Church, later became known as St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

she graduated from Crookston public schools in 1912, and after receiving a Teacher's School Certificate, taught in the Crookston area from 1913 to 1931.

She attended the Calhoun Secretarial School in Minneapolis, graduating in 1933. From 1934 to 1947 she worked for the West Polk County Agricultural Adjustment Agency in Crookston, and in 1947 began working for the Internal Revenue Service in Crookston. She was transferred to St. Paul in 1952. She worked there and in the Minneapolis office until 1964.

After her retirement, she did office work for her brother, Herman, for several years.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and served as superintendent of the Sunday School and teacher and member of the church choir. For many years she was an avid bowler.

She is survived by her sister, Ida Wagner, Fisher; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
