Third of five daughters and fifth of eight children.

Wife of Henry Harrison Hare married 02 Sept 1866 in Sullivan, Missouri. Mother of Thomas, William, Herbert and Wallace.


* The 1850 census lists Willis 42, Axa 36, John 18, Sarah 1, Abraham 11, Margaret 8 and Cynthia 1 living in Johnson, Clinton, Indiana where he was a farmer.

* The 1860 census has William and Achsah 44, John 27, Abraham 21, Cynthia 11, Amanda 8 and Emely [Emma] 5, living in New Hope, Union, Iowa with an Afton post office.

* By the 1870 census, Henry 27 and his wife, named as Cynthia, and children Thomas 3, and Herman 1, and visitor Emma Boll age 15, all lived in Knob Noster, Johnson, Missouri where Henry was a farm laborer.

* During the 1880 census Henry 38, and Mary 29, son William 8, were living in Louisburg, Montgomery, Kansas. Apparently Thomas has passed away.

* The 1900 census lists Henry 57, and Mary 50, Herbert 19, and Wallace 11, were still living in Louisburg, Montgomery, Kansas.

* By the 1900 census Henry 68, and Mary 62, live along in Louisburg without any of the children.
