Mrs. Nora Mankamyer, wife of Lewis M. Mankamyer of White Oak, Larimer Township, died Thursday night, March 5, in Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md., following an operation for gallstones.

She is survived by her husband and these children: Mrs. Robert Hayes, of Berlin; Ralph and Lewis, Jr., both residing in Montana; Mrs. Alice Osborn, Mrs. Nelson Finzel and Carl Mankamyer, all of Akron, O.; Margaret, Howard, Oscar and Pauline, all at home. Mrs. Mankamyer died just two minutes before midnight on her birthday. She was 58 years old. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel Bittner and Mr. Mankamyer's second wife.

The funeral was delayed until Tuesday afternoon of this week so the sons from Montana could be present. Funeral services were held in the Evangelical Church at White Oak, known as the Temple, which was crowded to full capacity by mourning relatives and friends, for Mrs. Mankamyer was a good woman and highly esteemed.

The services were conducted by Rev. Miller, of Ellerslie, Md., pastor of the White Oak Evangelical Church, assisted by Rev. C. W. Raley of Berlin, a former pastor. The funeral arrangements were in charge of Undertaker J. L. Tressler of Meyersdale.
