Born March 12, 1929 in Phillipsburg, he was a son of the late Michael and Nancy (Attinello) Stefano.
He was a member of St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg.
Mr. Stefano and his wife, the former Pauline R. Fucilli, observed their 43rd wedding anniversary this month.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Paul L., Stephen L., and James L., all of Phillipsburg, and Barry L. of Alpha, N.J.; daughter, Marie L. Schreffler of Bethlehem; three brothers, Anthony and Michael, both of Phillipsburg and John of Pohatcong Township; two sisters, Mary Stasak of Harmony Township and Natalie Piazza of Phillipsburg, and eleven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10:15 a.m. Monday from the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St., Phillipsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:45 a.m. Monday in the church.
