CLARKSDALE, Mo. — Bernice (Karl) Zug, 86, Clarksdale, passed away Monday, October 19, 2009, at a local health care center.
Veronica was born July 9, 1923, to Martin and Stella (McManus) Karl in Easton, Mo.
She graduated from Benedictine College and was married to Harold David Zug, who preceded her in death May 17, 2004.
She was a teacher in the Clarksdale and Cosby, Mo., schools. She was a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Altar Society, and had been a past member of the Parish Council.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Catherine (Karl) Buhman.
Survivors include sons: Roger Zug, Easton; Charles Zug, St. Joseph; daughters: Irene Wilson, Weatherby Lake, Mo.; Emily Rhoad, Maysville, Mo.; two sisters, LouEmma Lynch of California and Patricia Cebula, Overland Park, Kan.; grandchildren, Amy Lambert, Jennifer Reskin, Christina Wilson, David and Sara Rhoad, Kelli, Erik, and Brian Zug; and six great-grandchildren.
Services: 10 a.m. Thursday at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Easton. Visitation will begin after 9 a.m. at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Rosary at 6 p.m. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
