Mr. Walter Markus - 85, a resident of Vredenburg , AL , died on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Mobile Infirmary, Mobile , Alabama . Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Bell 's Landing Cemetery on Highway 41 between Camden and Monroeville . The family will receive friends at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home of Camden, AL, directing. Survivors include 2 sons: Walter Dale Markus ( Nancy ), Terry Lee Markus (Jody Collins), grandchildren: Lisa Schneiders & Sherri Markus (& finance' Robert Fortune), 6 great-grandchildren: Luke Fortune, Lynne Fortune, Ryan Schneiders, Cory Schneiders, Brooke Schneiders and Nicholas Schneiders, Sister: Irene Raupp, Brothers: Eddie Markus and Victor Markus, nieces and nephews. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be sent to: Monroe County Humane Society, P. O. Box 126 , Monroeville , AL 36461 . Online condolences may be made at www.dunklinanddaniels.com.
