According to church records in Reifenberg Germany, Heinrich was baptized in April 1812, son of Joannes Buchheit and Maria Beilmann, and came to America circa 1833. He met Maria Francisca Moll in the state of New York and they married in New York City on May 10, 1836, in a double ceremony with Francisca's brother Joseph Francis Moll and Regina Kaiser at St. Nicholas German Catholic Church located at 127 East Second St. between Avenue A and 1st Avenue. Their 1st child, Heinrich, was also baptized there. Above information about church, marriage and baptism is from Carole Dolisi Beaver, who obtained copies of the original St. Nicholas records by contacting the nearby Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church at 173 E. 3rd St. in New York City. When St. Nicholas closed in 1960, their records were transferred to Most Holy Redeemer.
