He was born on May 7, 1949, in Superior, to Marvin and Kathleen (Allen) Van Puymbrouck and was a lifelong Superior resident.
He attended schools in Superior and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He enjoyed being a bartender at the Tower Avenue Tavern.
Tim married Pam Yeazle on Dec. 15, 1988, and recently celebrated 20 years of marriage.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting and gardening vegetables. He was also a Green Bay Packer fan.
In addition to his wife Pam, Tim is survived by two daughters, Tammy (Steve) Johnson, Lisa Johnson, one son, Tony Johnson; 10 grandchildren including a special granddaughter, Emma Graves all of Superior; three sisters, Peggy Honkanen, Cloquet, Minn., Jean Ann (Paul) Krivinchuk and Kathy (Rick) Opoien, both of Superior; one brother, Danny (Mary Ellen) Van Puymbrouck, Superior; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son Timothy, his parents, his stepfather Pete Sheridan and a longtime friend, Dave Meyers.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, until the noon memorial service in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home. Pastor Patrick Ziems of Zion Lutheran Church will officiate.
