Mrs. Ida Herder, who would have been 92 years of age on May 12, died in a Yoakum hospital from injuries received in a fall.
Mrs. Herder, born at sea as her parents came to America, was reared in Fayette County. She was united in marriage to Fritz Herder and the couple moved to the Yoakum section in 1884, three years before the town was built.
She was a member of the Herder-Wolters "clan" that was organized for reunion purposes by the late Col. Jake Wolters of Houston.
Funeral services were held Tuesday.
Surviving are one son, Fritz; two daughters, Mrs. Will Leist of Yoakum and Mrs. Freda Boenick of Houston; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Singelmann of Schulenburg and Mrs. Mary Johnson of Flatonia.
