Rites for Albert Pink
Services for Albert J. Pink, 93, former Guttenberg resident, were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday and were conducted by Monsignor Donald Sweeney at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bob Fassbinder, Jerome Tujetsch, Leon Pink and Greg Junk.
Mr. Pink died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 1984 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Dubuque.
Visitation was at the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home.
Mr. Pink was a son of Andrew and Mary (Tieke) Pink and was born in Guttenberg Sept. 28, 1891. He was married February 1923 to Frances Fassbinder, who died Nov. 15, 1943. Mr. Pink was a painter and decorator and a veteran of World War I.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Duane (Ivanelle) Matt of Dubuque and Mary Pink of Los Angeles, Calif.; one son, Dr. James W. Pink of Manchester; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded by his wife and by a son, Kenneth, who died Dec. 5, 1967.
