Indian Campaigns Medal of Honor. He entered the US Army in the Arizona Territory. He served as a Scout in the Indian Scouts unit. He was awarded the CMOH for action in the Arizona Territory during the winter of 1872-73. His citation reads "Gallant conduct during the campaigns and engagements with Apaches."
