From records it is known that most early Canfield, OH German settlers are buried in Old North Cemetery.

"The earliest extant stone is for 1811, but the death list shows burial among German families for 1807 and a child of Conrad Neff (Jr.) in 1809, and it is likely that these were at Zion reformed." The pastoral record of the Lutheran minister Henry Hewitt for 1816-1847 and the journals of David Simon, written in the 1850's, both record deaths at Zion for which there are no stones."
