Bakery Operator In
Chesterton Dies
After Long Illness
'CHESTERTON, April 8 — Mrs.
Eleanor Young, 65, of 324 South
Second, Chesterton, operator of
Chesterton's only bakery, died at
8 a. m. today in her Iiome after a
long illness She had been suffeing
from a heart ailment-
The decedent was born April 3,
1888, in Suman (Jackson township)
the daughter of Charles and Catherine
Kimmel. She was married
to Arthur C Young in Evanston,
111., April 26. 1916. Mr. and Mrs.
Young opened a bakery in Chesterton
in 1921. After her husband's
death Feb. 15. 1926, Mrs. Young
continued to operate the bakery
until her death. She had lived in
Chesterton 45 years.
Surviving are two brothers, Fred
Kimmel of Chesterton, and John
P. Kimmel of East Gary
The Rev. Ralph G Hoffman, pastor
of St Patrick's church, Chesterion,
will officiate at services, and
burial will be in Chesterton cemetery.
