He was born August 27, 1934, in Dodge County to Bernard and Irene (Van den Hemel) Meyer. He married Violet Lawson August 27 1966, in Dodge Center. He retired from the United States Navy Seabee's in 1972. He worked at Power Team, Owatonna, until moving to Pine River in 1993.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Della Cadwell, Pine River; two grandchildren; his mother, Irene Meyer Olson, Kasson; four sisters, Louise Erickson, Owatonna; Carol Clough, Kasson; Patricia Kubat, Kasson; & Rose Smith, West Concord; and six brothers, Eugene Meyer, Kasson; Robert Meyer, Cokato; Francis Meyer, Colona, IL; Earl Meyer, Emmetsburg, IA; Edward Meyer, Dodge Center; and John Meyer, Blooming Prairie. His father, infant brother and brother, Raymond Meyer, died earlier.
No services were announced. Burial will be in Minnesota Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls. Arrangements are with Kline Funeral Home, Pine River.
