Aged 55 Years
Brother of John, Ellen, Patrick, James , Bridget, Anne ,Michael and Mary . In 1904 Peter went to join John , Ellen , Patrick and James who had emigrated to New York USA but later returned to spend the rest of his life in Ballinrobe . He died in Abbey Street of fibrosis of the lungs and heart failure at the early age of 55. He was a much loved husband and father and left a young family . He worked as a solicitor's clerk in Glebe Street . He took an active part in the life of the town as Secretary of the Football Club , a member of the Town Band and involvement with the Racecourse . He also taught boys to swim in the nearby lake . Little baby Peter [his son ] died in Infancy whilst Kathleen died at birth.
