Emilia Kautz, 92, of Sterling, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 1995, in Sterling.
Visitation and viewing begins 10 a.m., Friday, at Chaney-Walters Funeral Home. Funeral is 10 a.m., Saturday, at Chaney-Walters Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Paulsion officiating. Burial will be' at Riverside Cemetery.
Mrs. Kautz was born Sept. 27, 1903, to Jacob and Katherine (Kautz) Stieben in Freidenfeld, Russia.
She came to Sterling in 1912. She married Henry Kautz Feb. 4, 1923, in Sterling. Together they farmed in the Iliff area for 43 years until retiring in 1961. They moved back to Sterling where she lived until her death.
Mrs. Kautz was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is survived by two sons, Harold of Sterling and Charles of Long Beach, Calif.; three daughters, Victoria LaRue and husband Raymond of Placerville, Calif., Helen Davies and husband Donald of Oceanside, Calif., and Betty Tuft and husband Donald of Napa, Calif.; five sisters, Marie Peltz of Denver, Katherine Reinick and husband Adolph of Denver, Mary Hoiwegner of Fort Collins, Rose Keller and husband John of Atwood, and Eva O'Day of Sterling; seven grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 26, 1973, a brother, Henry, and a sister, Mollie Miller.
