Peter's second marriage (1856) was to Anna Mary (Maria) Long and they had thirteen children by this marriage. One of whom was a son PAUL A. STRITTMATTER b: 9/14/1860-d: 2/25/1958.

Peter's father was Andrew Strittmatter (b: 6/12/1793-d: 5/14/1865) who was born in the Schwarzenwald Region of Baden, Germany and died in Carrolltown, Cambria County, Pa.. His mother was Frances Mary Myers(Mayers) (b: 11/16/1790 Baden Germany-- d: 9/10/1877 Carrolltown, Cambria County, Pa.).
Andrew and Frances Mary were married in Philadelphia, PA. on 8/22/1817 and had eight children.

Andrew's and Mary's other children were: Francis X. b: 3/10/1819 in Phila. Pa.--d: 7/2/1893 in Carrolltown, Cambria County, Pa., Catherine, Paul (twin of Peter), Augustine, Joseph (twin of Augustine), Andrew and Frances.

Andrew's family settled in Bradley Junction, near Carrolltown, Cambria County, Pa. after living in Philadelphia for a couple of years.
