We are under obligations to Capt. O.R. Potter of Potters Mills for the following particulars in regard to a fatal accident which occurred in that quiet little village on Saturday morning last. A team of horses owned by a German named Thiel was standing at the cheese factory in the above village, while a small boy, who had charge of the horses, was delivering the mornings milk. The horses became frightened at some unknown cause; but the supposition is that it was the storm that was raging that morning. They ran down the street and when from twenty to thirty rods from the factory they collided with the team which Christopher Poppe, an aged German, was driving. During the collision Mr Poppe was thrown from the wagon and run over, the wagon breaking his neck and otherwise injuring him, from which he died.
