Thomas was the only child born to Harold G. and Mary (nee Egan) Dillon, and was both born, and raised, in Indianapolis. In 1927, at age 22 he began his own sanitation business, the National Sanitation Co., in Indianapolis. After 49 years of bachelor life, he met Elizabeth Mary Schilmoeller, a registered nurse who worked at St. Vincent Hospital. They married June 11, 1955 and began life together. Mr. Dillon continued to operate his sanitation business until closing it in 1963. He was 58, and thereafter retired.
Mr. Dillon was preceded in death by both his parents, and is survived by his wife, Elizabeth.
A service was performed for Mr. Dillon at the St Paul Episcopal Church on Thursday, Oct 29, 1970 at 1 p.m., followed by burial at Crown Hill Cemetery, near his parents.
