Wac Locates Grave of Her Dead Husband

S/Sgt. Robert D. Vaughn, of Indianapolis, who grew up in Bloomington, died when the plane on which he was a gunner crashed somewhere in Europe. However it took the sight of a little white cross to convince his wife Mrs. Beulah Vaugh, a WAC, of this. Mrs. Vaughn joined the WAC for the purpose of locating her husband. After enlisting she asked for European duty and finally arrived in Munich last summer. After months of searching she learned that he had crashed near the German village of Erbstetten. She went there with her chaplain and found the grave. Now she writes her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Burrows, that she is on her way home to take up her life again with her two children, a daughter, Sondra, and a marine son, Pfc. Charles A. Baumann, who is stationed at Crane.
