Helen A. Stone, age 76 of Morrice passed away at Memorial Healthcare Center in Owosso on Wednesday January 9, 2008. Funeral service will be held at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home in Perry on Saturday January 12, 2008 at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Fr. Stan Czarnota will officiate with burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery in Morrice. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Helen was born in Owosso, Michigan on June 16, 1931, the daughter of Albert & Francis (Shela) Lacina. She lived most of her life in the Morrice area having attended St. Mary's Catholic Church there. She liked to crochet, take walks and spend vacations up north. Helen married Edward Stone in Morrice on November 14, 1953, he preceded her in death in 1991. She is survived by her seven children: Victor of Morrice, Eddie of Perry, Rebecca (Richard) Rhinebolt of Morrice, Elizabeth (Steve) Williams of Owosso, Debra Stone of Morrice, Sharon (Robert) Graham of Springport, MI, and James (Tamzy) of Perry. 6 grandchildren, her brother John of Owosso, sisters Ann Smalley of Owosso, Blanche Jones of Lansing and Sister Alice Lacina of Adrian She was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters. Memorials are suggested to St. Judes.
