Derry
Shirley R. Novello, 65, of Derry, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006, in Excela Health Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born Feb. 22, 1940, in Superior, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Hilda Kelly Bordell.
She was a member of Bible Baptist Church, Kingston.
She is survived by her daughters, Denise Fabian and her husband, Michael, of Derry, and Stacie McIntire and her husband, Grant, of Blairsville; her second husband, James Connor, of Derry; her brother, George Bordell, of Sharon; three sisters, Mary McCurdy and her husband, Bud, of Kernersville, N.C., Kathryn Yankevich, of Sharon, and Ruth Baker, of Brookfield, Ohio; three grandchildren, Joshua Fabian, Seth and Fallyn McIntire; two foster grandchildren, Tiffany and Anton Good; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Barry K. Novello; a brother, James Bordell; and three sisters, Irene Kephart, Genevieve Fink and Annabelle Leslie.
Friends were received Wednesday at the McCabe Funeral Home, Derry. Services were conducted Thursday at Bible Baptist Church, Kingston, with Pastor Matthew P. Schwender officiating.
Interment followed in Coles Cemetery, Derry.
