Tony accepted Christ at an early age at the Loyalty Baptist Church in Austin. Tony attended school in the Dallas Independent School District where he graduated from Dallas Sky Line High School in 2004. Tony Woods or "Chug" as most of his family and friends called him was known for his gentle attitude and demeanor; he also had a natural ability to play sports.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Tony Woods; great grandmothers, Justine Upjohn and Thelma Woods; grandfather, Rev. Robert E. Burton Sr.; and great-grandfather, Rev. Tommie L. Garner, Sr. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Andrea Johnson; two sisters, and two brothers.
