MAYVILLE - Stefan Roemer, 83, of Westfield, NY, formerly Mayville, died Sunday (December 20, 2009) at Absolut Care at Westfield.
He was born September 4, 1926, in Felldorf, Transylvania,Romania the son of the late, Daniel and Sara Platz Roemer.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Crump Roemer, whom he married Oct. 25, 1952 in Mayville; two daughters, Dolores (Jeff) Olson of Mayville, and Vicki Doty of Mayville; five grandchildren, Chris (Jessica) Olson of Silver Creek, Shana (Andy) Morton of Mayville, Tim (Crystal) Olson of Mayville, Caz Stepp of Florida, and Ken Stepp of Alabama; five great grandchildren, Stefan Olson, Glenn Morton, Jessie Yocum, MaKayla Alexander, and Sarah Yocum; one brother, Ed(Erika) Roemer of Ashville.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, George Roemer, and Daniel Roemer; and his sister Sara.
