Frederick W. Forell (sic) was born near Buffalo, N.Y. April 7th 1852. He moved with his parents to Illinois at an early age. He was married October 17th, 1875 to Margaret E. Scoville, and came to Nebraska the following year. Three sons were born and survive their father. A few years ago he moved to Missouri and later to Pittsburg, Kans. Since his wife's death about three years ago he has made his home with his son, Ray. He was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge and the Presbyterian Church. He was accidentally killed by a railway train May 2, 1927 at the age of 75 years and 25 days. The body was brought to Chester and funeral services were held Thursday morning, May 5th at the Christian Church.

FORMER CHESTER MAN IS KILLED BY TRAIN

Death in a railway accident was the fate of Frederick W. Forell, a former Chester man, who was killed near Pittsburg, Kansas, where he had been staying at the home of his son, Ray, since his wife's death about three years ago. He was 75 years old. His body was shipped to Chester for burial.
