Vinton Lady Dies at Home of Daughter Saturday Morning.
La Porte City, Oct. 22. - (Special) - Mrs. Hannah Shaffer of Vinton, Ia., died a the homer of her daughter, Mrs. I. B. Hayes, in this city, on Saturday at 10:15 a. m. from a stroke of paralysis. Mrs. Shaffer was 91 years old and had made her home with her daughter for about a year past. She was remarkably lively for one of her years up to the time of her death. Short services were held at the Hayes home yesterday and the body was shipped to Vinton this morning where more extended services and burial will take place.
