William Henry Leckel, 71, of Lake Placid, Florida, died Tuesday, June 7, 1983, at his residence.
He was born in Spooner. He married Leora Belle Atchison January 15, 1973, Barstow, California. He was a resident of Lake Placid for nine years, moving from Fort Lauderdale. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and a retired heavy equipment mechanic. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
He is survived by his wife Leora Belle; daughters Katherine, Donna Jean Brizendine, Deborah Joan Mayland; son Jerome Marshall; his mother, Lottie Leckel; brothers Harry and Henry, Frank, Fred; sisters Mary Hartman and Florence Melton; and uncle, Fred Schroeder; and an aunt, Martha Westphal; and seven grandchildren.
Scott Funeral Home of Lake Placid was in charge of arrangements. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lake Placid, Fla., June 9.
