John Szcepanski, aged 50, who had been employed as a miner in Decatur since he moved to Macon county, died Sunday in St. Mary's hospital following a 4 day illness with pneumonia.
He leaves a widow, Marie Szcepanski and the following children, John of Chicago, Emil, Helen, Edward and Henry all of Decatur. He leaves three sisters, Mrs. Marie Gallon, Mrs. Anna Sadofski and Louisa Brix all of Decatur. A brother, Carl, lives in Decatur and two brothers, Adolph and August live in Germany.
Funeral services will be conducted at St. Johannes German Lutheran church with burial in Greenwood cemetery.
