She was born in Leib, Germany [*see note below], Aug. 1, 1858, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Shepanski and was married to William Gollan, who died in 1905.
Mrs. Gollan came to Decatur 24 years ago from Germany and was a charter member of the St. Johannes Lutheran church and a member of the ladies aid of the church.
She leaves four children, Mrs. O. Eiserman, Mrs. F. Blandenburg, Miss Emma Gollan and William Gollan and a sister, Mrs.Louise Brix, all of Decatur. There are eight grandchildren and a great grandchild.
The body was taken to the Moran & Sons funeral home and will be removed to the residence, where friends may call after 7 pm today. Funeral services will be held at the residence at 2 pm Thursday and at the St. Johannes Lutheran church at 2:30 pm. Burial will be in the Greenwood cemetery.
