Conrad Meyer was born in Switzerland in 1847; emigrated to this country 1867, stopping at Toledo, Ohio, and in 1872 came on to California, and in 1879 settled in Napa county; lived in St. Helena for sixteen years and worked at the carpenters' trade; in 1895 he came to Pope valley and settled in Germantown, on a place of 32 acres, which is highly improved, having orchard and vineyard; he married Maria Keller in St. Helena in 1880; she was born in 1853 in Switzerland; their five children were born as follows: Henry Meyer, 1881, in St. Helena; Emma, 1884, in Switzerland; Eda, 1888, in St. Helena; Maria E., 1892 and Herman C., in 1897, in St. Helena.

NOTE: Conrad Meyer's cremains were originally interred in Block 7, Lot 4, at the St. Helena Public Cemetery, St. Helena, Napa County, CA, on January 17, 1916.
A notation in the cemetery's burial book indicate he was removed to Oakland and reinterred at the Oakland Columbarium, Chapel of the Chimes, Sept. 21, 1918.
