Alex Thelen, 67, of Joliet Road, Valparaiso, Ind., who formerly operated a grocery store at Ashford, died this morning at Porte Memorial Hospital, Valparaiso, Ind.
He was born June 23, 1909, at Ashford, the son of the late Bertram and Elizabeth Fleischmann Theleln. He married Evelyn Brath at St. Martin's Catholic Church, Ashford.
Mr. Thelen was presently a maintenance man at Shelbourne Home, Valparaiso, Ind. He was a member of Catholic Knights of Wisconsin.
Surviving are his widow; a son, Arthur of Milwaukee; two daughters, Alice of Chicago and Mary Jane of Denver, Colo.; and two brothers, Leo and Frank both of Ashford. Three brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport.
