Mr. Elsasser was quiet and retiring, but always ready to help anyone in need. He was a good neighbor and strictly honest in all his dealings. He enjoyed his home and was devoted to his wife and children. Early in life he became a member of the German Lutheran church. Besides his wife and children he leaves a brother, Christ Elsasser of this county, and several sisters in Germany.
A short service was held at the Elsasser home at 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon and the funeral services at the Evangelical church in Industry at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. Poersch. Burial was made in the Greenridge cemetery, Messrs. Buchanan, Bletcher, Sheedy, Prehn, Barnett and Meyer acted as pallbearers.
