Agnes S Elkins was born at Union, MO on April 23, 1918, the daughter of the late Conrad Hellmann and his wife Anna Lakebrink Hellmann, and died at Fort worth TX, on March 1 at the age of 73.

She received her schooling here in Union and grew to young womanhood here.

On July 10, 1941, she was united in marriage to Mr Fred E Elkins. They made their home at Gray Summit and five children were born to this marriage.

Mrs Elkins had been employed at Purina Farms at Gray summit for several years and also had worked in the Ben Franklin store in Union for a number of years. She also enjoyed working for the Avon Company.

She was a member of the Western Catholic Union.

Those who survive are her husband, Fred Elkins of Gray Summit; one son Richard Elkins of St Clair; four daughters, Julia Ann Winzen of St Louis, Betty Lee Walsh of Gulfport, MS, Verna Riley of Dallas, TX, and Susan Schrier of St Paul; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs Helena Hilke of Washington.

Funeral services were held March 5, from the Oltmann funeral Home, Union, by Rev Anthony Bukauskas. Interment followed in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Union.
