Mrs. Hilke was born Nov. 2, 1914, in Union, the daughter of Conrad Hellmann and wife Anna, nee Lakebrink.

She was baptized, confirmed and received her schooling at Immaculate Conception Catholic School, Union.

Mrs. Hilke worked at Carmel Shoe Factory for 16 years.

On Aug. 11, 1934, she was united in marriage to Edward J. Hilke II at Immaculate Conception Church, Union.

She was a member of Western Catholic Union.

Mrs. Hilke was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Robert Lee Hilke; one daughter, Viola H. Pohl; three brothers, Leo, Alloys and Joseph Hellmann; two sisters, Agnes Elkins and Rose Hellmann; one stepbrother, Matthew Hellmann; and three stepsisters, Louise, Elizabeth and Sophie Hellmann.

She is survived by one son, Edward J. Hilke III and wife Bernice, Washington; one daughter, Leona B. Noelker and husband David, Washington; one son-in-law, Harold Pohl, New Haven; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

Masses or memorials to Unity Health Hospice of Washington or Meals on Wheels of Washington are preferred.

The family was served by Miller Funeral Home, Washington.
