She was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, the Altar Society and the Nursing Alumni Association.
Survivors include a sister, Cecilia Bahr, of Olmitz; five nephews, Ken Beran of Hays, Fred Johnson of Strasburg, Colo., Jim Johnson of Great Bend, Bud Johnson of Larned and Leon Bahr of Olmitz; five nieces, Judy Getty of Hays, Karen Reif, Mary Johnson and Donita Wolf, all of Great Bend, and Jane Brack of Albuquerque, N.M.; and numerous great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. Hattie was preceded in death by six brothers, Frank Beran, August Beran and Roman Beran and three infants, Fred Beran, Victor Beran and Alois Beran and a sister, Hilda Johnson.
An Altar Society Rosary will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend, followed by a vigil service at 7 p.m., also at the funeral home. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Great Bend, with Father Reginald A. Urban officiant. Interment will be at the Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Prince of Peace Parish, in care of the funeral home.
