Gus Weyerbacher - Died, at his home in Bedford, Indiana, of peritonitis on Tuesday, November 17, 1908, aged 37 years, 7 months and 1 day. Funeral services were held at his late residence in Bedford, on Thursday. The remains will arrive in Boonville on the traction, at 4 o'clock p.m., on Friday, accompanied by his wife, J.P. Weyerbacher of Boonville and six pall bearers from the Elks Lodge of Bedford of which the deceased was a member. Interment in Maple Grove cemetery of Boonville, immediately after arrival. The members of the Elk's order in Boonville will attend the interment. Gus was the fourth son of Mr. Jacob Weyerbacher of Boonville. He grew to manhood here and received his education in the Boonville schools. He removed from Boonville to Bedford some ten or twelve years ago and went into business and was doing exceedingly well. He left surviving his wife, an aged father, brothers and sisters and many other relatives and friends to mourn his loss.
He was married to Grace Bates on January 10, 1890. It was she who donated the beautiful stained glass window in his memory.
He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Bedford, Indiana, where he served as treasurer and director of the boys' choir.
