Georg Anger and his wife Margaretha Barbara and family left from Eschenau and to the port of Bremen, where they left on the bark "Neptune" in July of 1853 and arrived in the port of Baltmore on 6 Aug 1853. They traveled to Jo Daviess County, Illinois where they planned to begin farming. The following year both Georg and his wife Margaretha Barbara died during an influenza epidemic in that area.
