Frances Niemiec Boltralik, age 95, was born in Eastern Poland on December 13, 1914, to Josefa Prygon and Franciszek Niemiec.
She settled in Cheswick, PA, after World War II.
She enjoyed her sewing and relating her stories of her escape from Siberian work camps after the invasion of her homeland by Stalin.
She was the wife of the late Fabian Boltralik and loving mother of Lydia Kobylak (Mieczyslaw) of Cass City, MI, Anna Urquiza (Hector) of Dyer, IN, Fabian Boltralik (Teresa) of Beckley, WV and Richard Bednarski of Augusta, GA who preceded her in death last year. She leaves behind fifteen grandchildren: Sara Boltralik, Emily Boltralik, Lindsay Boltralik, Fabian Urquiza, Cecilia Urquiza, Lila Kung, Veronica Nahernak, Joseph Kobylak, Valerie Hendricks, Dieter Bednarski, Mary Ann Perry, Lily Finch, Daphine Kaphazy, Rosie Cook and Sonya Solomon; sixteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Roman Niemiec, and her two sisters, Janina Wierzbicki and Sister Mary Margaret Niemiec.
Visitation will be at Jarvis Funeral Home, 1607 Pittsburgh St., Cheswick, PA, on Wednesday, March 31, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A final departure ceremony will be held at the Jarvis Funeral Home in Cheswick at 10 am on Thursday, April 1. Frances will be buried beside her husband at Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Cheswick, immediately following the ceremony. A celebration luncheon will follow. Details of the luncheon TBA after the funeral ceremony.
