I would like to let you know that the public family trees at Ancestry shows Moritz's birth date as December 27, 1804, and his death date as October 15, 1857. He and his family left Antwerp, Belgium, in late August or early September 1854, arriving New York on October 10, 1854. I thought Moritz died in 1871 per this memorial, but the 1860 census shows his wife Susanna Annen with three children. I tried to find Moritz in the 1860 census but to no avail. Obviously, he died in 1857, not 1871. Susanna never married again and died in 1873.
