In 1882 he married Miss Lena Warneke, and ten children were born to them, two of whom preceded their father in death.
Those surviving are John and William Meyer of Salem, S.D.; Mrs. J. H. Meyer, Roca; Mrs. Herman Ulrich, Haxtun, Colo.; Mrs. Fred Henkel, Bladen; Henry H. Meyer, Haxtun; Fred and Helen at home. Besides his wife and children, Mr. Meyer leaves a brother, Peter, of Toronto, Kas., and three sisters, Mrs. G. Rippen of Hallam, Mrs. D. Rippen of Campbell, and Mrs. Louis Schultz of Havelock.
