Kopper. — The 19th of March, First Johannesthal Church near Hillsboro, Kansas. Anna Kopper, nee Bartel, age 68 years, 10 days. The burial took place on the 21st. The funeral messages were given by Johann Gerbrandt and Johann Plenert (of the Second Johannesthal Church), followed by the song, "We'll See Each Other Once Again" The deceased grew up at Neuhof in Poland. The 18th of November, 1860, she was married to Peter Kopper. This union was blessed with 8 children, of whom three still are living. The husband, 3 children, 8 uncles, and many friends and relatives mourn her passing, yet in the hope of a joyous reunion in the hereafter, because she crossed over to her Savior in faith.
