Leola "Lea" Lyons Phillips, 85, of Jasper, Texas, died Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Ennis Care Center in Ennis, Texas.

Born in Leesville, LA, she was a longtime Jasper resident.

She retired as a bank teller working many years with First National and First State Banks in Jasper. A great cook, her pies, cakes, fried chicken and gumbo were enjoyed by all. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends and playing dominoes with friends at the Senior Citizen Center in her later years.

She loved her family which includes her son, Richard Franklin Lyons, Jr., daughters, Barbara Jackson and husband, Robert, Sylvia Nicklas, sister, Lillie Graham of Leesville, La. Grandchildren, Thomas Bledsoe and wife Kristina, Brent Bledsoe, Mark Nicklas and wife Christina, Stacie Nicklas Castillo, Jennifer Jackson Nussbaum & husband Robert, Stephanie Jackson Acosta & husband Michael, great grandchildren, Alexander Bledsoe, Nicholas Bledsoe, Hannah Bledsoe, Jacob Jeleti, Michael Nicklas, Kaleb Nicklas, Grace Nicklas, Taylar Nicklas, Jordain Castillo, Lanie Castillo and Aiden Acosta.

She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew Jackson Perkins & Martha Perkins, husbands, Richard Franklin Lyons, Sr., Joe Phillips and Wayne Parker, brothers & sisters, Rosa Hall, Wilbur Perkins, and A. J. Perkins. She is survived by a host of family and friends.

Burial: Evergreen Cemetery, Jasper, Texas
