George Hill was born in Russia and immigrated to the United States in 1900, settling in Walla Walla, Washington. He was employed by building contractors for many years, and he was a member of the Hod Carriers, Builders and Laborers union. He was survived by his wife Anna Mary [Beier], sons, George, and Oscar of Walla Walla, Fred and Joseph of Seattle, William of Yakima, and John of San Pablo, CA; daughters Helen Diamond [Donald] of Portland, Ruth Cilk [Jacob]of Walla Walla, and three stepchildren. He was also survived by his brothers, John, Adam and Christian Hill, sisters Mrs. George Streck and Mrs. Jacob Gies of Walla Walla.
