Alfred Hohage, aged 79 years, of 104 Thompson Gardens, Waynesburg, died Saturday, November 20, 1993, in Greene County Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 1, 1914, at Monaca, a son of the late Henry and Hermond Stauffer Hohage. He was a 1933 graduate of Monaca High School.
Mr. Hohage was a retired millwright, having worked for the St. Joseph Lead Company and for J & L Steel Company at Aliquippa. He served as a corporal in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a Presbyterian by faith and was a member of B.P.O.E. 757, Waynesburg Elks, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 461, Waynesburg and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4793, Waynesburg.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Gary (Mary Kathryn) Riggle of Amity; two grandchildren, Sean L. Riggle of Washington and Shelby K. Riggle of Amity; five stepdaughters, and one stepson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Scott Stephenson, who died October 25, 1983; four brothers; and five sisters.
Services are private, with the Rev. William Bradford Davis officiating. Behm Funeral Home, Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, is in charge of the arrangements. Entombment in Greene County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Meals On Wheels or a favorite charity.
