Great Bend -- Anthony F. Kippes, 62, Great Bend, formerly of Walker, died Monday at the Central Kansas Medical Center here.

Born in Walker, he moved from there in 1948. He had lived in Great Bend the past eight years. Kippes was a retired farmer and oilfield worker.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Ann Church, Walker. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Cline's Mortuary, Victoria, from 4 p.m. Wednesday until service time. Rosary services will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Kippes survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Gene (Betty) Marrow, Maple Heights, Ohio, Mrs. Robert (Vivian) Leiker, Dodge City, Mrs. Lyle (Jeanette) Keplinger, Bridge Water, Va.; two sons, Clarence, Junction City, Larry, Garfield Heighs, Ohio; a brother, George, Walker; two sisters, Mrs. Ted Munk, Hoxie, Mrs. Elizabeth Frank, Denver; 14 grandchildren.
