Hoxie -- Rose Mary Munk, 91, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, at the Sheridan County Long Term Care. She was born Oct. 29, 1909, in Walker to George and Elizabeth (Pfeifer) Kippes.

She married Theodore Munk on Oct. 21, 1930, in Walker. He died Aug. 17, 1989. They lived near Vincent, Grainfield and Hoxie until 1957, moving into Hoxie. She was a homemaker and member of St. Frances Catholic Church, Hoxie.

Survivors include two sons, Melvin, Hoxie, and Paul, Menlo; six daughters, Zita Schamberger, Hoxie, Ruth Kratzer, Hays, Pauline Hoff, Salina, Rosie Stover, Colby, Agnes Holzmeister, Grinnell, and Betty Racette, Colby; 25 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Lawrence and Lester, and a granddaughter.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Frances Catholic Church, Hoxie, with Father Benjamin Shaw officiating; burial in the church cemetery. A vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mickey-Leopold Funeral Chapel, Hoxie. Visitation will be until 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
