Albert A. Carlson, 56, former resident of Rockford, died yesterday after a brief illness of pneumonia at his home in Airdrie, Alberta, Canada, according to word received by his brother, Edward Carlson, 1921 6ht street.

The former Rockford man was born in Ogle county on Oct. 13, 1876. After living in Rockford for many years he moved to Canada about twenty-two years ago. He was a member of First Lutheran church here until he left the city.

Funeral services and burial will take place in Airdrie, Canada, this afternoon.

He is survived by his wife, Adelyne, formerly of Rockford, and five daughters, Mae, Lucille, Dorothy, Rubie and Ruth, the last two mentioned being twins, and a son, Albert, jr. One daughter preceded him in death five years ago. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Wellington, Charles street road, and Mrs. Emil Freeman, 924 South 3rd street, and the brother, Edward G. Carlson, all of Rockford.
