MARGARET HUTTON was born Nov 22, 1876 in Preston, Fillmore County, Minnesota to Robert Hutton and Margaret Elizabeth Lang-Hutton where her parents homesteaded. Her father Robert was born in Scotland and her mother from Ontario, Canada. After the children were born in Minnesota the family moved to Towner, North Dakota and took up a homstead there in 1886.

Margaret married Frederick Anderson and the couple moved to Canada, settling near Olds, Alberta. They had 10 children:

Margaret died March 23, 1946 in Olds, Alberta, Canada and is buried there near her husband, Fred.
